6-3, 180...Wife, Jennifer (Douglas), works as TV reporter for PRCA broadcasts; sons, Stone and Scout...A heart defect caused Smith to suffer a mild stroke in April 2003, and he underwent a procedure to correct the atrial septal defect in a procedure May 20, 2003 at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. He returned to competition in July at the Snake River Stampede in Nampa, Idaho...Primary competition horse is Destiny, purchased from Wes Adams...Hobbies include all sports and spending time with his kids…Was featured on the 700 Club with wife, Jennifer....Appeared in the April 2006 issue of European GQ Magazine and was on the cover of the 2007 January/February issue of Stroke Smart...
