PRCA Stat of the Week

As of Oct. 1, there were unofficially 643 rodeos for the 2018 season paying out a total of $38,564,889.

  • Cowboys competed at 19 rodeos from Sept. 24-30 worth $817,686.
  • Team roping heeler Rickey Green, who qualified for the National Finals Rodeo 10 times (1977-78, 1982-89) and won the NFR average in 1988, recently suffered a stroke.   • Tyler Erickson, 20, is a PRCA permit holder and a member of the New Mexico State University rodeo team in Las Cruces. The weekend of Sept. 21-23, Erickson was injured riding a bareback horse at a non-PRCA event. He cracked his skull, cracked his jaw and fractured his C6 vertebrae.
