With only a week left in the 2018 season, cowboys are hitting the rodeo road harder than ever to make the Top 15 in their event and qualify for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Thirteen cowboys won enough to climb the ladder within the Top 15 thanks to $319,448 in prize money at the nine PRCA rodeos held Sept. 17-23.

The final online ballot process will be open Oct. 1-15 for applicable voting PRCA members. The winners for each category will be announced at the PRCA Awards Banquet at the South Point in Las Vegas on Dec. 5.

Cowboys competed at 18 rodeos across North America worth a collective $927,275 from Sept. 3-10. With so much money up for grabs, 32 cowboys climbed within the Top 15. Bull rider Roscoe Jarboe had the biggest move in the Top 15 this week, from 15th to seventh.

Since 1953, the New Mexico State Fair & Rodeo in Albuquerque has attracted some of the biggest names in professional rodeo. Bareback rider Royce Ford qualified for the Wrangler NFR eight times (2003-09, 2011), and during that time he set three records at Albuquerque that still stand.
