After winning $63,273 at the Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping Nov. 11 in Mulvane, Kan., Trevor Brazile took the lead in the all-around race with $243,760. Tuf Cooper dropped to second place with $230,022. Both will be competing in the 2017 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo presented by Polaris RANGER next month in Las Vegas in tie-down roping.

It didn’t take Cole Goodine long to make a statement at the Canadian Finals Rodeo. The Carbon, Alberta, bareback rider was the second competitor of night No. 1 at the Northlands Coliseum and posted an 85.75-point score on Northcott-Macza’s Stevie Knicks to win the round and $11,122.

Leon Adams was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 2008 with his wife Vicki. Leon passed away Oct. 30. He was 87. For parts of five decades, the husband-and-wife team entertained rodeo fans all over the world with their horsemanship, innovative flair and skill in training animals.
