Standings Shuffle: 26 Move up in Top 15

Summer competition is off to a hot start as the first week of June offered $963,278 in prize money at 23 ProRodeo events across North America. Out of those competitions, 26 cowboys saw their position improve within the Top 15.

Veteran and rookie cowboys know it’s easier to maintain a position at the top than it is to play catch-up when trying to qualify for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Every dollar counts, and making the Top 15 in the PRCA | RAM World Standings early establishes a solid base and builds a cowboy’s confidence as the season picks up pace.

Nobody knows this better than bull rider Boudreaux Campbell, who moved from 16th to 11th thanks to winning $6,280 at five rodeos across the U.S. and Canada this week. Campbell picked up $1,822 at the Santa Maria (Calif.) Elks Rodeo, $1,431 at the Grand Prairie (Alberta) Stompede, $1,170 at the Leduc (Alberta) Black Gold Pro Rodeo, $1,121 at the Central Point (Ore.) Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo and $736 at the Old Fort Days Rodeo in Fort Smith, Ark.

Cowboys on the bubble for a spot in the Top 15 can find themselves a few dollars short of qualifying for the Wrangler NFR. The following cowboys climbed the standings to No. 16:

• Team roping header Charly Crawford moved from 20th to 16th and is $407 away from breaking into the Top 15.
