Stampede and the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.); co-champion of the Southwestern International PRCA Rodeo (El Paso, Texas) and the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo (Vernal, Utah); set arena record of 3.7 seconds in winning the first round of the Farm-City Pro Rodeo (Hermiston, Ore.), with LeMond. 5-11, 195 … Wife, Sherry Cervi (married Sept. 21, 2014), is a four-time world champion barrel racer (1995, 1999, 2010, 2013) … Mother, Gail Petska, was a two-time world champion barrel racer (1972-73), who holds the National Finals Rodeo record (any event) for rounds won in a single NFR (seven in 1972). Father, Paul Petska, also team ropes and reached the NFR three times (1985-86, 1988) with his brother Monty Joe Petska; Monty Joe made it to the NFR 14 times in all, most recently in 2004 when he was 42. Cory’s sister, Tye, qualified for the NFR barrel racing in 1994 … Enjoys fishing … Favorite movie is “Seabiscuit”
