Parents are Liz Adams and the late Wesley Adams, who founded the family-run Western States Ranching Corp., which includes properties in Georgia, Texas, Colorado and a 380-acre ranch in Logandale, Nev., once owned by Wayne Newton. Jay has four brothers and a sister. His brother Randon was the rookie of the year in team roping (heeling) in 2002, and Jay qualified for the 2006 Wrangler NFR with Rando; has also roped with his youngest brother, Austin in PRCA rodeos … Broke his left ankle in two places while on the Southern Virginia Uniiversity (NAIA) football team as a redshirt quarterback ... A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he served on a church mission to Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico ... Operates Bex Products as an online athletic apparel and sunglasses business; also active in the many family businesses
