• 2015: Won Rounds 1, 4 and 10, split the Round 2 win and placed in one other round at the Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping. Won the Pioneer Days Rodeo (Clovis, N.M.), the Walla Walla (Wash.) Frontier Days, and the Yuma (Colo.) Fair & Rodeo. Won the all-around and steer roping at the Apache (Okla.) Stampede and the all-around at the Dawson County Fair & Rodeo (Glendive, Mont.). Finished third in the world standings with $96,195

• 2014: Placed in three rounds of the Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping (Mulvane, Kan.). Won the Parker County Frontier Days and PRCA Rodeo (Weatherford, Texas) and the Dawson County Fair & Rodeo (Glendive, Mont.). Won the all-around at the Big Horn Stampede Rodeo (Hardin). • 2013: Won Round 9 in 9.9 seconds and placed fourth in the average at the Clem McSpadden NFSR (Guthrie, Okla.) to earn $22,616 and move from 14th to 10th in the final world standings; finished 13th in the all-around standings
• 2012: Placed in three rounds of the Clem McSpadden NFSR (Guthrie, Okla.) to finish ninth in the average and seventh in the world standings ($45,515); won the steer roping at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. (Partner Jace Crabb) Won the all-around and team roping at the Young County Rodeo (Graham, Texas); the all-around at the Will Rogers Stampede (Claremore, Okla.); the all-around at the Laramie (Wyo.) Jubilee Days; the team roping at the Roughrider Days Rodeo (Dickinson, N.D.); and the team roping at the ABC ProRodeo (Lubbock, Texas)
• 2011: (Partner Paul David Tierney) Placed eighth in the average in his debut at the Clem McSpadden NFSR (Guthrie, Okla.) and finished 15th in the world standings with $28,852 (17th in the all-around with $49,489). Won the Badlands Circuit Steer Roping Finals (Deadwood, S.D.) and Nebraska's Big Rodeo (Burwell, Neb.). Won the all-around and was co-champion in team roping at the Amarillo (Texas) Tri-State Fair and Rodeo. Won the all-around and team roping at the Young County Rodeo (Graham, Texas)
• 2010: (Partner Paul David Tierney) Won the Bennington (Kan.) PRCA Rodeo; the Killdeer (N.D.) Mountain Roundup Rodeo and  the Four States Fair Rodeo (Texarkana, Ark.). Finished 21st in the steer roping world standings and 33rd in the all-around with $31,589
• 2009: Won the Energy Town Pro Rodeo (Gillette, Wyo.); the Mandan (N.D.) Rodeo days; the Ashley (N.D.) Rodeo and the Riverboat Days PRCA Rodeo (Yankton, S.D.), with J.W. Nelson
• 2008: Finished first in the Badlands Circuit all-around standings. Won the all-around at the Wyoming State Fair & Rodeo (Douglas). Won the tie-down roping title at the Red Horse Ranch PRCA Rodeo (Fergus Falls, Minn.)
• 2006: Won the all-around title and steer roping average at the Dodge City (Kan.) Roundup Rodeo. Placed in the steer roping and tie-down roping at the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo (Texas). Finished as the reserve all-around champion of the Prairie Circuit

Participated in steer wrestling, team roping and tie-down roping in college and was named reserve all-around champion; won a South Dakota team roping high school state championship and was named tie-down roping reserve champion; in 2005, was the South Dakota Rodeo Association tie-down roping champion

6-1, 190 … Wife, Teresa (Married July 2015) ... Enjoys training colts, bass fishing, playing golf and Texas Hold ‘em … His father, Paul Tierney, was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 2008; he was the tie-down roping world champion in 1979 and all-around world champion in 1980 … His mother, Kelli Word, was an intercollegiate standout in barrel racing and pole bending; brother, Paul David, is a team roping heeler …His favorite food is ribeye steak and favorite movie is Tin Cup … He enjoys music by Bob Seger, Johnny Cash and Jason Boland and the Stragglers
