5-8, 160 … Single … Played hockey all the way through high school before focusing his attention on rodeo at age 18 … He is a third-generation rodeo competitor. His father, Greg, won three Canadian steer wrestling titles in the late 1970s and also qualified for the CFR as a bareback rider; grandfather Tom Butterfield and uncles Brian and Bud were cornerstones of Canadian steer wrestling in the 1950s and 60s. Younger brother Brock qualified for the CFR as a steer wrestler in 2007 …Favorite rodeo is his hometown Ponoka (Alberta) Stampede
