• 2014: (Partner Rich Skelton) Won Round 9 of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in a time of 3.9 seconds and placed in one other round. Won the Days of '47 Rodeo (Salt Lake City, Utah); the Tri-State Rodeo (Fort Madison, Iowa); the Larimer County Fair & Rodeo (Loveland, Colo.) and the Cassia County Fair & Rodeo (Burley, Idaho). Co-champion at the Nebraska's Big Rodeo (Burwell). • 2013: (Partner Rich Skelton) Won Round 4 of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo with a time of 4.2 seconds and place in four other rounds; finished sixth in the world standings with $147,839. Won the National Western Stock Show Rodeo (Denver, Colo.); the Walla Walla (Wash.) • 2007: (Partner Shannon Frascht) Won the PRCA Championship Rodeo (Topeka, Kan.); the Flint Hills Rodeo (Strong City, Kan.) and the Enid (Okla.) Stampede; co-champion at the Woodward (Okla.) Elks Rodeo. Finished 45th in the world standings with $22,377

6-0, 210 … Single … Father, Terry Sartain, and mother, Debby Russell … Enjoys fishing, deer hunting, golf and listening to music, especially Cross Canadian Ragweed (he grew up near lead singer Cody Canada), George Strait and Kid Rock … Primary competition horse is Champ, whom he bought in the fall of 2008 from Texan Katie Jameson … Family shows halter horses in the American Quarter Horse Association and the American Paint Horse Association; grandmother, Mary Hummel, was one of the first women judges chosen to work horse shows … Taught himself how to rope by watching training tapes by Allen Bach and Clay O’Brien Cooper; still considers Cooper his rodeo role model … Graduate of Mustang (Okla.)
