5-7, 150 … Single … Mother, Kathleen Robertson, owns a beauty salon in Albuquerque called Strands; Father, Scott Knapp, started riding bulls at 36 and sparked Scottie’s interest in rodeo; two sisters, Kellie Knapp and Joleen Meyers, one brother, Paul Meyers … Does landscaping and ranch work when he is not on the road competing … Spends much of his free time working out and would like someday to open a gym that would specialize in training rodeo athletes … Scottie started riding sheep at the age of 3 and got on his first bull at 10 … Suffered a separated right (free) shoulder in 2011 which kept him sidelined for much of the year and eventually required surgery … Graduated from Estancia Valley Learning Center (Estancia, N.M.) in a class of 16, five of whom were bull riders … Favorite book is the Bible … Favorite movies are “8 Seconds” and “Dances with Wolves” … Favorite food is steak
