• 2014: Placed in nine of 10 rounds in his Wrangler National Finals Rodeo debut, including wins in Rounds 4 and 7, to win the average title and set an event record by rising from 13th place at the start of the WNFR to become world champion with earnings of $205,388. 5-8, 160 … Single … Nicknamed “Red” because he has light red hair … One of Bill and Evelyn Wright’s 13 children; he is the second youngest of seven brothers and all six of those over the age of 18 compete in PRCA saddle bronc riding events – 2008 and 2010 World Champion Cody, Cal, Alex, Jake, and 2012 World Champion Jesse. Youngest brother, Stuart, wrestles and plays basketball. His six sisters are Shelinda, Laurlee, Michaela, Monica, Catherine and Rebecca …The Wrights broke new ground in 2014 when four of them (Jesse, Jake, Cody and Spencer) all qualified for the WNFR in the same year ... A documentary crew from Southern Utah University followed Cody’s quest for a world title and produced the DVD Born To Ride. The SUU crew was back in 2014 to do a piece on the four Wright brothers in WNFR competition ... Graduated from Milford (Utah) High School in 2010
