Brother, Casey, who is a former PRCA bareback rider sustained a severe back injury in August of 2017 and is no longer competing, and sister, Alyssa ……Started bareback riding his sophomore year of high school... Travels with fellow bareback riders, Tanner Aus and Steven Dent …… Mentored by 1992 World Champion Bareback Rider Wayne Herman of Dickinson, N.D., along with his father, Ed, and uncle Dean … Played high school basketball and football … When not on the rodeo road Ty is home in ND ranching……..Enjoys hunting and snowmobiling...
