State Fair PRCA Rodeo for the second consecutive year, the State Fair of Louisiana Pro Rodeo (Shreveport), the Seward County PRCA Rodeo (Liberal, Kan.) and the Magnolia (Ark.) Stampede. Finished 23rd in the world standings with $44,245
• 2014: Won the Tulsa (Okla.) State Fair PRCA Rodeo; finished 10th in the PRCA Resistol rookie standings and 85th in the world standings with $6,840
• 2013: Won the Wild Bill Hickok Rodeo (Abilene, Kan.); the Topeka (Kan.) 5-5, 130 … Single … Parents, Larry and Marylynn Lufkin, operate the Circle L Ranch near Akins, Okla., and a horseback riding business in Tahlequah, Okla., called Sequoyah Riding Stables; brothers, Tim and Luke; sister, Mary Jo … Larry also competed as a PRCA saddle bronc rider in the late 1980s … Joe started in rodeo by riding sheep at 4 years old, then moved up to calves, steers, junior bulls and bulls, switching to saddle bronc horses as a high school sophomore … The family ranch has an arena with a bucking chute and a bucking machine … Other occupations are ranch work and horseshoeing … Attended and later assisted at the Deke Latham Memorial Bronc Riding School in Goodwell, Okla … Would eventually like to enter law enforcement and serve with the Texas Rangers … Enjoys golf and wrestling … Graduated from Sallisaw (Okla.)
