Both siblings compete in rodeo as does cousin, Kagen, who was the 2012-13 Canadian steer riding champion … Enjoys playing golf when not practicing his roping … Graduated from Barrhead Composite High … Played amateur hockey through high school until he turned his focus to rodeo full time … Favorite food is Canadian bacon … Credits his father and grandfather, Leonard Schmidt, for getting him started in rodeo and teaching him the right way … Favorite rodeo is the Ponoka (Alberta) Stampede
