• 2016: (Partner Matt Sherwood) Won Round 7, co-champion of Round 3, and placed in three rounds to rank eighth at the Wrangler NFR. Won the Parada Del Sol (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and the Wrangler Champion Challenge presented by Justin Boots (Spanish Fork, Utah). Co-champion at the Annual Fourth of July & PRCA Rodeo (Window Rock, Ariz.). Finished eighth in the world standings with $145,907
• 2015: (Partner Matt Sherwood) Won the Snake River Stampede (Nampa, Idaho), the Western Stampede (West Jordan, Utah) and the Spokane (Wash.) Interstate Rodeo. • 2011: (Partner Taylor Winn) Co-champion at the Fort Herriman Memorial PRCA Rodeo (Herriman, Utah) and won the Lincoln County Fair Rodeo (Afton, Wyo.); earned $9,212 on his permit

Three-time Utah state high school champion in team roping (2009, with Jared Penrod; 2010-11 with Taylor Winn) and also won the 2011 tie-down roping championship. Four-time qualifier for the National High School Finals Rodeo

5-7, 165 … Wife, Jessie (married Aug. 8, 2015 in Salt Lake City) … Father, Greg, and stepmother, Kaylynn, operate a ranch in Holden, Utah; mother, Allyson Baker, is a computer consultant; brother, Landon; sisters, Camille, Nicole, Lindsay and Hailey … Started roping off a horse when he was 6 and started competing at 9 … Homeschooled from third grade to high school graduation … After a year of competing on his permit, Kesler served two years on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), working in Nebraska and Sioux City, Iowa, from August 2012 to August 2014 … Enjoys working on the family’s ranch and training horses … Favorite movie is “The Man from Snowy River” (1982)
