Canadian Finals Rodeo Novice Saddle Bronc Riding champion, 2012

5-9, 140 … Single … Father, Dave, and mother, Lana, who operate a ranch just outside Meeting Creek, Alberta, were both rodeo competitors in their youth; brother, Garrett Green, has qualified for the Canadian Finals Rodeo three times as a bull rider and has been a PRCA member since 2013 … Grandfather, Lee Phillips, was inducted in the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association as a steer wrestler in 2003 and grandmother, Jeri Duce Phillips was a champion barrel racer … Two-time World Champion Taos Muncy has compared Green’s riding style to that of Canada’s 20-time NFR qualifier Rod Hay – naturally enough since it was Hay who helped refine Green’s technique as a teenager while Green worked on his ranch … Competed on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University rodeo team with World Champion Bull Rider Sage Kimzey, Joe Lufkin, Brodie Poppino and Yance Day … Enjoys bow hunting … Favorite rodeo is the Ponoka (Alberta) Stampede … Favorite movie is “8 Seconds,” the feature film based on the life of Bull Riding World Champion Lane Frost
