5-9, 155 … Parents Shane and Lisa Frost, brothers, Joe and Jate, sister, Jacelyn … Josh is a third-generation PRCA cowboy, his grandpa, Joe Frost, and his dad, Shane Frost, were PRCA members … Josh’s great-uncle, Clyde Frost, competed at the first NFR in 1959 for bareback riding and went on to qualify in 1960, ‘62-64 for saddle bronc in 1962 and 1964 … Josh’s brother, Joe Frost, is a three-time WNFR qualifier for bull riding … Josh’s second-cousin is the late Lane Frost, a five-time NFR qualifier and world champion bull rider who was featured in the movie 8 Seconds … Started competing in rodeo when he was 8 years old … When asked to describe his riding style, he said “my rides aren’t always the prettiest, but I get them rode” … The Cache County Fair and Rodeo (Logan, Utah) is his favorite because he won the All Around three out of the four times he competed there … Roping calves and steer wrestling frequently helps him stay in shape for bull riding … American Sniper is his favorite bull … Broken Arrow is his dream bull to draw … Says his dad, brother and college rodeo coach Robert Etbauer are his rodeo idols … Competes on the Oklahoma Panhandle State University rodeo team, studying Ag Education … Attended Union High School (Roosevelt, Utah) 2009-13 and competed in wrestling, plans to coach wrestling later … Is a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers … Favorite food is pasta … Likes listening to rap music and Eric Church … Reads too many books to pick just one favorite … Favorite movie is Step Brothers … Enjoys mountain biking and bowling while traveling to rodeos
