Had back-to-back wins in the seventh and eighth rounds of the National Finals Steer Roping (Hobbs, N.M.), and placed in five of 10 rounds to finish third in the average (101.6 seconds on nine head) and second in event total earnings with $30,000; had the fastest time at the NFSR for the second straight year with an 8.7-second run in Round 8. Won steer roping titles at the Heart O’ Texas Fair and Rodeo (Waco) and the Buc Days Pro Rodeo (Corpus Christi, Texas). Won steer wrestling titles at the Buc Days Pro Rodeo (Corpus Christi, Texas); the Oklahoma State Fair Rodeo (Oklahoma City); the Heart O' Texas Fair & Rodeo (Waco) and the American Royal Rodeo (Kansas City, Mo.); co-champion at the Colorado State Fair & Rodeo (Pueblo). Won a tie-down roping title at the Coleman (Texas) PRCA Rodeo. • 2003: Won all-around titles at the Laughlin (Nev.) River Stampede and the NILE Pro Rodeo (Billings, Mont.). Won steer wrestling titles at the Ponoka (Alberta) Stampede; the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) and the NILE ProRodeo (Billings, Mont.). Won Round 8 at the Wrangler NFR with a 3.9-second run. Won the tie-down roping title at the Lewiston (Idaho) Round-up
• 2002: Reserve World Champion in steer wrestling, fourth in the all-around, 17th in tie-down roping and 10th in steer roping.
